Corporate Social Responsibility ("CSR")

Over the coming year, the CTSG wishes to develop the CSR aspect of its work and encourage community growth within Cambridge. There are many aspects to CSR with which the CTSG is currently involved, and there is room for further development.

The Cambridge University Entrepreneurs ("CUE") Entrepreneurs have evolved to being a key Cambridge University initiative for supporting and accelerating entrepreneurship and innovation. The CTSG has a role to play in the main business competition run by the CUE and provides mentors offering timely, practical and commercial legal advice to ambitious teams to take their entrepreneurial idea to the very next level and create success in a national, and sometimes international, arena.

Anglia Ruskin University mentoring was the initiative of trainees who are now qualified and gives current trainees, and members of the CTSG, the opportunity to provide support, structure and relevant mentoring and assistance for students currently studying at the Anglia Ruskin University. If you are a student, and this initiative is of interest then send us an email. We all know how hard its is to be accepted for a Training Contract in the current economic climate, and it is our aim to pass on some of our experiences.

In terms of supporting charities, the CTSG Committee is yet to select their favoured charity for the upcoming year. However, there are plans to host a major charity event and to include some of the students whom we mentor, as well as a wider student interest. There are a great deal of worthy charities on our doorstep and we hope to be able to support at least one such charity this year.
