Welcome to the updated CTSG website! The 2008/9 committee is made up of representatives from Irena Spence & Co, Hewitsons, Thompson Web & Corfield, Mills & Reeve and Taylor Vinters. Our aim this year, as last year, is to build on the links made with trainees at firms which are both smaller in size and geographically more disparate.
Firstly, thanks to all who filled in the survey - this has provided us with a good insight into people's preferences, and provides a good basis for us to plan into the coming year. In terms of the social calendar for the CTSG this year, the Committee is planning an exciting array of events. Some of the many successful events organised by last year's committee, including the cheese & wine evening and the punting are also likely to be repeated. In the meantime, a pre-Christmas get-together is in the diary for 13th December with a larger (and hopefully sponsored) event on 25th January. Whilst there are no new posts this year, some have been expanded, to include a separate Ball Committee, with seven members. Plans are already afoot for a change of venue and a date will emerge imminently. More updates to the website will follow, in addition to a new facebook group, which will be largely 'off topic'. It will definitely be private and passworded, and will likely include subjects and photos that are best kept away from this site!
